I spent Christmas with the folks and made my first gingerbread house and my first apple pie.
The house actually came out pretty good.

We didn’t eat it though. Something about stale gingerbread just doesn’t seem appetizing.

The apple pie however tasted very good.

This is the remains of a glass maple leaf bottle that use to sit in my window filled with orange water.

It’s hard to tell but it’s in about 10 pieces. about 5:30 this morning it exploded. I forgot it was in the window and the water froze. And, well, glass doesn’t take well to being frozen.

Last night the news said we were going to get about 4-6 inches of snow. it’s about 10:30 am and we have about 14 inches!
I just went outside and took some pictures. I <3 snow!
This is right in front of my car. I’m so glad I snagged a spot under the car port.

Those flags are right by the road into the complex.
The bush next to the gate for the pool.

And a rock.

I was going to post a couple of pictures I took today of a centipede I found in my bathroom sink and fed to the cat (also caught on film) but they are too icky to look at. Maybe in the morning, I don’t want to have dreams of bugs crawling on me.
Edit: finally got the pictures up…

I would like to point out that I didn’t actually feed it to the cat. He came to my rescue and attacked it like a pro. The eating it part was all his idea. I wasn’t going to stop him.

I decorated today. It would seem that I don’t have enough to do the whole house though. Going to have to do some after Christmas clearance shopping.
(just ignore the creepy nutcracker, he won’t harm you.)

Went christmas shopping today with the roomie. I <3 shopping. We grabbed lunch first at our new favorite restaurant Cheeseburger (island style). It’s amazingly tasty.

You can see from this picture that Caleb was with me. See his hat?

This is my pumpkin. Technically it’s my brother’s. I just borrowed it.

Owen is showing off his normal size pumpkins. Mine, though a little lopsided in the back, was much, much bigger.

so big that Becky had to cut it open with a knife and hammer.

it was like 4 inches thick.

This was it’s insides.

THE END

Oh. the little pumpkin came out very good as well.
